This policy explains what data ClimaMatch collects, why, for how long, and what rights you have. It applies to climamatch.com and related services (quote requests, installer directory, territory unlocks).
The data controller is ClimaMatch, reachable at [email protected]. For any question about your personal data, write to that address. We aim to respond within a reasonable time.
Depending on how you use the service, we may collect:
• Identity and contact: name, email, phone number.
• Project details: property type, surface area, rooms/zones, system type, options, timeline, postal code / département, free-text notes.
• Installer account: email, password (stored hashed), unlocked territories, subscription history.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, pages viewed, cookies and analytics needed to run and improve the service.
• Directory data: public or provided business information (name, area, services, website, professional contact details).
We process your data to:
• Match you with installers suited to your project and département.
• Compute an indicative estimate and send your request to relevant professionals.
• Contact directory installers about unlocking a territory.
• Manage accounts, territory unlock billing, and support.
• Secure the platform, prevent fraud, and improve the product.
• Comply with legal obligations.
Depending on the case, processing relies on: pre-contractual steps at your request (quotes, matching), performance of a contract (installer account, territory unlock), our legitimate interest (service improvement, abuse prevention, reasonable B2B outreach to installers), and/or your consent when required (certain non-essential cookies).
We do not sell your personal data. We may share it with:
• Installers who unlocked the relevant département, so they can contact you.
• Technical providers (hosting, transactional email, payments, analytics) acting on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
• Authorities, only when required by law.
When your request is shared with an installer, that installer becomes responsible for how they handle follow-up communications with you.
We keep quote requests and related contact data for as long as needed for matching, follow-up, and abuse prevention, then archive or anonymize them. Installer accounts and billing data are kept while the account is active, then for applicable legal periods. Technical logs are kept for a limited security window.
Under the GDPR and applicable French law, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, or object to certain processing. You may also withdraw consent where processing depends on it. To exercise these rights: [email protected]. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (cnil.fr).
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data (encryption in transit, access controls, hashed passwords). No system is perfect; please use a unique, strong password.
The site may use cookies or similar technologies for core operation (session, language preferences) and, where applicable, audience measurement. You can configure your browser to limit cookies. Some features may then work less well.
We may update this policy to reflect product or legal changes. The last-updated date appears at the top of the page. For material changes, we may show a notice on the site.
